The basic training recommended by the British Standard Institute is in regard to Key Holding and Alarm Response Officers having a minimum period of sixteen hours classroom training and completing a competency within 12 weeks of employment. During this probationary period instruction will vary in terms of time and content, depending on the complexity of the sites concerned, but should, as a minimum, cover taking over an assignment, the first patrol, vulnerable points and recording activity via the control room, as well as records and report compilation.
This course provides training to BS7984:2008 Standard.
